Boutique Hotels
What do we love in a hotel?
Well it goes without saying the food ought to be great, and if they offer afternoon tea and have a great wine cellar we will be well on the way to being happy. Some sort of a view is a plus – but it can be cutting edge urban or wild out of the way mountains and lochs. An enormous bed – a wonderful bath and quirky design also help. We particularly enjoy “boutique” hotels – places where there are very few rooms so the whole experience takes on a sort of house party, intimate feel and the service can be more personal. We have been very spoilt and some of our favourite places are very special indeed. Enjoy – and do let us know if you like them, and if you know of any others we should try.
