Le Train Bleu
1er etage Gare de Lyon, Place Louis Armand, 75012 Paris, France • +33 (01) 43 43 09 06 • Map • WebsiteI have to admit to not having had time to have more than a cup of tea here before we took our train to Lyon but this stunning restaurant deserves a visit if only for the stunning Belle Epoque interior with its mirrors and painted ceilings. You keep expecting to turn around and see a woman in a late 19th century bustle sitting down for some foie gras while her maid organises her trunks down below. It is easy to miss the restaurant if you don’t know where it is – it is on the upper level at the end of the platforms. If you have time to kill at the Gare de Lyon do yourself a favour and have a meal here in splendour rather than a dodgy crepe down below.
